Unlike some other courts the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts is almost completely digital. If you have access to a computer or tablet and a printer the process of consulting and hiring a bankruptcy attorney and preparing and filing your bankruptcy petition can be completed with only a single walk to the mailbox.
On April 2, 2020, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts entered Amended Standing Order 2020-02 permitting the filing of a bankruptcy petition without original or “wet” signatures. The debtor or filer (and their attorney) then have thirty (30) days from the date of filing to submit the signatures to the Bankruptcy Court.

Once we have completed your petition we can arrange for a video conference where I will review your bankruptcy page by page before you sign. You will then need to print a few pages, sign them, and mail them to our office.
